TIGAR Team Parents,
We’re happy to announce the inaugural TIGAR’s Den, which is our periodic parent resource symposium during which we will present topics of interest to team parents, such as parenting your athlete, proper athlete nutrition, college recruiting, and more.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend our first presentation on Thursday, January 24th, at 6:00 pm at TIGAR. We are honored to present Coach Gail Royce, who is an esteemed mental coach, who has worked with gymnasts and other competitive athletes from the early years through the Olympic and international competition levels. Coach Gail has been retained by professional football teams, the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, and has worked with many parents and athletes to bring out the best in the athlete as they progress along their competitive journey. She owned a gymnastics club in Colorado for years, and learned the right and not right way to motivate athletes. Usually, Gail charges $50 per session, however TIGAR is sponsoring her visit, so you get all of her expertise for FREE!
Gail will focus her presentation on how to best prepare your child for competition – including what to say the week prior to the competition, in the car on the way to the competition, and how to address your child’s successes and challenges following a competition. Gail does not limit her expertise to gymnastics, so we strongly recommend that parents of all team members attend. She has worked with numerous athletes at TIGAR with glowing success. You won’t want to miss it!
You can learn more about Coach Gail at www.mentaledgecoaching.net.
Please attend! Light refreshments will be served, compliments of TIGAR! Since Gail will be talking with parents, we ask that any children be either in class/practice, or left in the care of an adult, so they are properly cared for during this meeting.
