TIGAR Coaches and Staff

TIGAR’s coaching staff includes top gymnastics coaches and cheer coaches in Colorado. Our coaches have been carefully selected and intensely trained, using well-established curricula and materials so that they can safely teach new skills by encouraging each child to challenge themselves and instill confidence in each athlete in a rewarding environment.

Drew Negley – General Manager

Drew has been involved in gymnastics for over twenty years.  She competed as a USAG gymnast and then became involved in cheerleading and tumbling.  Drew has fifteen years of experience coaching recreational and competitive gymnastics as well as cheerleading and power tumbling.  She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications from Metropolitan State University in 2009 and holds a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Management from Regis University.  She has over eight years of experience in leadership and management.  Drew wants to give the best possible experience to children through her love of cheerleading, tumbling and gymnastics and encourages athletes of all ages and abilities to achieve their highest potential.  

Alexas Aragon – Events Manager

Alexas started gymnastics at the age of three and competed as a USAG gymnast until she was at level 10. She began coaching because of her love of the sport.  Alexas has coached athletes of all ages and abilities including pre-school, beginner, intermediate and advanced recreational classes as well as pre-team. She loves the excitement children show after helping them accomplish new skills and focuses on creating a fun learning environment while teaching them safety, mental toughness, dedication and sportsmanship.  Alexas is studying to attain a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology.  

Megan Adams – Member Services Manager

Megan AdamsMegan has been in the dance industry for over ten years and is thrilled to be expanding her experience in the All Star Cheer industry.  She is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality with a focus on Event Management at Metropolitan State University.  Megan loves seeing athletes in both gymnastics and cheerleading grow in skills and confidence each day and watching the connections families make as part of their experience at TIGAR.  

Stephanie Hooper – Special Events and Social Media Director

TIGARStaff2015-34-Stephanie HooperStephanie was involved in the competitive dance world for over ten years before starting high school.  During high school she was a three-year pom team member, was selected as team captain her senior year and received All-American honors in 2010/2011.  Stephanie studied at Metropolitan State University where she received her degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Events this past December.  Stephanie is a Colorado native and is the proud older sister of TIGAR’s first state champion. She enjoys seeing all of the smiling  faces on athletes every day at TIGAR. 

 

Laura Lofton -Human Resources Manager

Laura Lofton

Laura was a gymnast for fifteen years, having competed in the CARA program as well as for USAG.  She was a cheerleader for all four years in college and for a semi-pro football team. Laura was the assistant gymnastics coach for Standley Lake High School for seven years and supervised a recreational and preschool gym for coaches for nine years.  She has her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. 

Lindsey Bocklage – Head Cheerleading/Tumbling Coach

Lindsey has recently relocated to Colorado from Nixa, MO and comes to TIGAR with many years of experience coaching in both recreational and team cheerleading programs.  She has been cheering her entire life, starting in second grade!  She has coached multiple levels from mini prep all the way through Senior Level 5.  She cheered in college for Drury University on their National team.  Lindsey is excited for the opportunity to bring her knowledge and experience to TIGAR’s cheerleading program.   

Dakota Turner – Recreational Cheer & Activities DirectorDakota Turner

Dakota was a cheerleader in high school for three years. He came to TIGAR as both an athlete and coach. Dakota has competed at a national competition for TIGAR and has won the national title.  As a coach he has led the TIGAR cheerleading teams to state and national titles.  In addition to coaching cheerleading, Dakota manages the numerous day camps and holiday camp offerings for TIGAR.

Marcelo Figueiredo

Marcelo Figueiredo

Marcelo has over thirty years of experience in gymnastics.  He began training and  competing at the age of ten.   At the age of sixteen Marcelo began coaching and has led over two hundred gymnasts to their personal bests.  He was the head coach at Club De Regatas Vasco Da Gama in Rio de Janiero, Brazil and was the National Coach for the six-time World Champion team.  At Brown’s Gymnastics in Las Vegas he led three athletes into full-ride scholarships at UCLA.   As the head coach for six years at the All Olympia Gymnastics Center in Los Angeles, Marcelo coached his level 9 and level 10 teams to state championships and coached McKayla Maroney at the 2012 London Olympics.  He has also coached levels 4 through Elite and choreographed many routines including routine design and execution.

Stacey began participating in gymnastics at the age of ten.  He competed for Cherry Creek High School from 1983 through 1987 and was named All-American for multiple years.  Stacey went on to compete at the University of New Mexico.  He began coaching gymnastics his sophomore year of college at his university’s private gymnastics club and continued training athletes levels 5 through 10 at a gymnastics club in New Mexico. After moving back to Colorado Stacey coached primarily level 10 athletes from 1994 to 1999 at two Denver-area clubs, as well as holding a director position at one of the clubs.

Heather Honeyman

Heather was a gymnast for twelve years, starting in recreational gymnastics and moving into competitive USAG gymnastics.  She competed four years in high school gymnastics on the varsity team and was named team captain her junior year.  Heather attended the Sports Medicine program at Warren Tech during her third year in high school.  She has been coaching gymnastics for over two years, working with preschool and recreational athletes and competitive levels 3 and 4.  Heather is currently attending school for Physical Education and Business.

 

 

Caity Beckman

Caitlyn Beckman

Caity began her gymnastics career at the age of six competing in the Eagles/XCEL program. She trained with Denver University’s youth gymnastics team and competed for USAG for five seasons. Caity has attended several coaching and training clinics including the 2011 Visa Championships workshops and with Neil Resnick, head coach of the Boise State gymnastics team. Caity is currently working towards a career in pediatric nursing.  She enjoys coaching pre-team and level 3 because they offer accelerated direction towards competitive gymnastics while still allowing for recreational fun.

Amy has participated in gymnastics since the age of eight and began assisting coaches at the age of fifteen.  She has over five years of experience as a gymnastics coach, working with children and teens ages one to fifteen years old.  Amy believes in showing her athletes specific skills so they can see exactly what that skill is. She encourages them to know they can accomplish anything.

Mackenzie Salazar

Mackenzie Salazar

Mackenzie began gymnastics at the age of three, training and competing through the age of sixteen.  She began coaching at sixteen and currently enjoys coaching young athletes new skills.  As a gymnast her favorite events were floor and beam, which are now her favorite events to coach.  She enjoys the opportunity to watch children of all abilities progress and learn.

 

Jenna Behm

Jenna Behm

Jenna started in gymnastics at the age of four and continued for fourteen years.  In college she switched to cheerleading.  Jenna has worked in day care with children of all ages and has coaching experience.  She currently attends the Colorado School of Mines and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering.

Jennifer S.

TIGARStaff2015-26-Jennifer SmithJennifer has competed in gymnastics in the Eagles/XCEL program as well as in recreational gymnastics.  She is currently in high school with plans to go to college.  Jennifer has earned three academic letters and is on the honor roll.  Outside of school she has done babysitting for all ages.  Jennifer volunteers for children’s events at a local church.   She loves the sport of gymnastics and wants to share her passion for it with children of all ages.

Eisha Ludtke

Eisha Ludtke

Eisha has worked with children all of her life including working in a nursery, babysitting and providing after-school tutoring.  She was a competitive gymnast for seven years training to level 8.  Eisha traveled throughout the United States for competitions.  She lettered and won the Leslie Miley Award while competing in high school gymnastics her sophomore year.   Eisha is currently an honor student at Ralston Valley High School and has lettered each year in academics.  She would like to attend college with a focus in pre-med.

 

 

Morgan A.

Morgan Adducci

Morgan has coached both preschool and recreational gymnastics at The Little Gym. She was a cheerleader for all four years of high school and assisted in coaching PeeWee camps annually. She is currently a full time student at Regis University studying Nursing and Psychology and plans to attend medical school to become a pediatric oncologist.  Morgan volunteers at various hospitals throughout the area.

Nikki Y.

Nikki Young

Nikki trained in gymnastics for eight years and competed in gymnastics meets for six years. She is a cheerleader for the varsity cheer team at Ralston Valley High School where she is currently a senior.  Nikki hopes to be a cheerleader in college.

Stephanie Hooper

Jane Augenstein

Jane AugustineJane has several years of experience in administrative support, hospitality, graphic design and printing.  She has a strong background in customer service including keeping accounts up to date, registering children for classes, greeting families and answering question or concerns. What Jane enjoys most is making each family’s TIGAR experience welcoming and positive.

Lorene Peters

TIGARStaff2015-32-Lorene PetersLorene has an extensive background in customer service, previously working in several industries including education, flooring and the hotel industry.  She has worked as an executive assistant and has managed an online company.  Lorene enjoys speaking with people and handling administrative duties.  She has been married for over forty-one years and enjoys spending time with her two children and two grandchildren.
